A beautiful Lauhala Tree was planted at Palama Settlement for the keiki, kupuna, and the community of Palama Settlement in honor of Ces Blackfield. Palama Settlement has been a pioneer in the field of social work in Hawai`i for 125 years. Palama Settlement's mission is to partner with those individuals and families who have the greatest needs, empowering them to enhance their well being through education, health, and recreation. Dana Anne Yee, Landscape Architect, LLC and Scenic Hawai`i, Inc. were happy to volunteer their services in this meaningful tree planting. The beautiful Lahala Tree was generously donated by Eric Onuma. Palama Settlement is now graced with a new grand Lauhala Tree.
