INDIGO DIP DYEING WITH KILIKINA - JUNE 28, 2025

An enjoyable Indigo Dip Dying Class took place on a beautiful sunny Saturday morning at the Downtown Art Center. Christine / Kilikina taught us how to use the plant-based, natural blue dye called indigo.  We created our shirt and dishtowel designs using the Japanese Shibori style of folding, tying, and clamping techniques. We then oxidized the dipped shirts many times to darken the blue indigo color.
