I was honored to be part of the 97th Annual Honolulu Printmakers Show, Heat and Pressure. Juried by Ms. Elizabeth Ferrill, who selected 75 works of art out of 284 submissions.
Cacao at Waialua Sugar Mill, a poly plate lithograph, from an original photo taken and developed with my Nikon film camera was one of the art pieces selected. Instructor Paul Galang shared his knowledge of lithography in stone (at the Honolulu Printmakers) and poly plates (at the Honolulu Museum of Art) to me in this exciting form of lithography art work. Pam representing, Hawai`i Craftsmen's Raku Ho`olaule`a, Stephen Yuen and I representing the Honolulu Printmakers volunteered on April 19, 2025 to sit at the show.
And a Viewer's Choice Award for Cacao at Wailua Sugar Mill. Note to Artis: Dana as always you are a ray of sunshine!!! Rainbows to you!!!.
