A wonderful day was spent at the Honolulu Museum of Art on July 19, 2026, to celebrate Hawai`i's connection to the Ocean at HoMA's Community Sunday.

A beautiful Sunday to enjoy walking around the Museum, exploring the galleries, and taking part in the many activities. We made beautiful Gyotaku fish prints of the invasive, Ta`ape (Lutjanus kasmira) Yellow Snapper Fish. We participated in creating clay sculptures to raise awareness with Coral Care Arts, we learned about preserving our natural and cultural resources in Hawai`i and we visited the many informational ocean display booths around the museum. And we enjoyed a delicious lunch at the cafe. It was a memorable day. Thank you, Honolulu Museum of Art for the many wonderful things that you do for our community.
