FERNS IN THE HAWAI`I ECOSYSTEM WITH KAY LYNCH - JUNE 18, 2025

University of Hawai`i Horticulture graduate, Kay Lynch from Lāʻau Hawai`i presented an enjoyable talk, slide show, and live fern display at the Urban Garden Center in Pearl City. Kay spoke about the importance of planting ferns in the landscape. She spoke of the need for propagators and shared how she grows her native Hawaiian ferns. Her interesting talk included hands on showing us how to see the difference between native and introduced ferns. Urban Garden Center University of Hawai`i CTAHR Extension Agents, Alberto Ricordi planned this wonderful talk with Kay and Jessica Higashi provided great support. It was a wonderful event at the beautiful Urban Garden Center.
