ASLA GIRLS NIGHT AIA DOWNTOWN FIRM CRAWL - OCTOBER 2, 2026

Three Landscape Architects enjoyed a beautiful night visiting AIA offices at Downtown Honolulu at the AIA Firm Crawl event organized by Olina King, AIA events and operations coordinator and AIA. Tomoko Naka spearheaded our girl's night out with Kelsey Wai both from Bowers and Kubota and me Dana Anne Yee, FASLA. What an absolutely fun evening visiting five downtown AIA offices. Each office was filled with welcoming wonderful staff., food, and activities. We started at VCBO and went straight to the candy bar with take home treats and not to be outdone was the charcuterie board of an entire table full of salami and goodies, awesome. Originally from Utah they were a joy to meet with a white ping pong table to match.

Next, we headed to the 18th floor of the same Pacific Guardian Building to a 1980''s theme party with pink glasses and glowy bracelets. Very Cool! Ferris Bullers Day Off movie played in this stadium seating area while we enjoyed delicious kalua pig sandwiches, meatballs, and chicken wings. and oh yeah cheese wiz.

Group70 was our next stop where Charles Kaneshiro warmly greeted us with a game to win a tape measure prize that we filled with native bird stickers. It was great to see Sheryl, Miki, Ken and meet SUk,.

Masons were outstanding with their crowd pleaser of Sushi Haru and mochi ice cream and ice-cold water from Joel for this warm night.

We ended out AIA Crawl with a visit to WAT&G where Tiffany was full of hugs and smiles dressed in her themed outfit. Kevin and company shared dumplings and donuts in these cool Chinese takeout boxes. Beautiful office with a wood map of Honolulu and all the projects that WAT&G worked on.

Beautiful AIA offices, warm welcoming visits, delicious food, and fun activities, it was just an all-around great way to spend a Friday night with 2 very cool landscape architects. Girls' night out, awasome.
