I have had the pleasure of being in all 4 Architects as Artist exhibitions thanks to the encouragement of architect and urban planner Randall K. Fujiki, AAA who invited me to the first show in the year 2021. With the help of wonderful sweet Miyako Nishinakagawa and Downtown Art Center founder and keeping art alive in downtown extraordinaire Sandy Pohl, Architects as Artist got off to a great start. Downtown Art Center's newly appointed executive director, Carol Khewhok and great art supporter with advisors Randall K. Fujiki, FAIA and Sheryl Seaman, AIA, and Tracy Chan the exhibition coordinator, continues this fine direction for the Downtown Art Center and the grand Architects as Artists exhibit.

Dana Anne Yee, Landscape Architect, LLC seemlessly integrates art, nature and the Hawaiian culture, to transform her lanscape designs into living works of art. A lifetime filled with curiosity and travel led her to explore the islands and express her appreciation of the `aina and its people. She creates art in almost almost every medium shines brightly in her dedication to preserve, protect, and honor our beautiful Hawai`i.

MaryAnne Long, artist, art collector, and curator wrote a beautiful article, Building The Perfect Exhibit with Architects in Midweek O`ahu January 21, 2026Vol 42.No.29 Issue, Page 20.

She highlighted the special recognition in this year's exhibit, to well deserved, Francis Oda, FAIA and about Architect and photographer Howard Wolff, AIA and me, Landscape Architect, Dana Anne Yee, FASLA. I was thrilled to be included in the Article and so happy to see Blue Bird Tiptoeing on a Pink Pineapple, screenprint, in Midweek. Hooray.
